Description

Watergum is one of Queensland’s most dedicated environmental not-for-profit organizations, supporting a vast network of community groups. Committed to restoring, maintaining, and protecting natural areas, Watergum focuses on creating real, tangible impact through its initiatives.

The rebranding of the Gold Coast Catchment Association to Watergum Environmental was designed to unify a diverse range of programs, projects, and events under a single identity. This strategic shift aimed to expand their reach and amplify their impact across the community.

Design Direction

Watergum approached us with a clear brand direction; it’s about being part of something real. The design focused on emphasizing the group's core cause, grounding the visual identity in the values of environmental action. Inspiration was drawn from the colours, textures, shapes, and imagery of the Gold Coast region's natural environment, forming the foundation for the brand’s aesthetic.

This led to the development of a rich color palette and a collection of imagery that formed the heart of the identity. The approach offered the visual diversity needed to represent a wide range of projects while maintaining an aesthetic harmony that unites them under one cohesive brand.
